PARAGRAPH 80 HOUSE

Interior view of uniquely designed home

This house is an upside down house in the Norfolk countryside. The proposal is to be built using innovative construction methods including living walls. The whole concept of the house is that it extends the woodland through its structure and materials. The connection with landscape also informs the organisation of the house with the living spaces all on the upper floor to make the most of the views across the Norfolk landscape.

In certain situations a house in a rural location needs to meet the National Planning Policy Frameworks Paragraph 79 criteria (superseded by Paragraph 80) to gain planning permission. This means that the house design needs to be very innovation and of a high architectural design and quality standard.
